Prague Airport to City Centre: All Options

Václav Havel Airport lies about 17 km from central Prague. Depending on how you travel, the trip takes 25–60 minutes. Here is an overview of every option.
Overview
| Transport | Travel time | Approx. price |
|---|---|---|
| TransferPRO private transfer | 25–35 min | 35 EUR (car, fixed price) |
| Airport taxi | 25–40 min | approx. 25–35 EUR |
| Airport Express bus (AE) | 35–45 min | approx. 4 EUR |
| Bus 59 + metro | 40–60 min | approx. 2 EUR (90-min ticket) |
1. Private transfer
The most comfortable option. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, helps with your luggage and takes you to your hotel door. The price is fixed and paid in advance, so traffic or a delayed flight won't change it.
- Car for 1–3 passengers: 35 EUR
- Van for 4–8 passengers: 40 EUR
- Meet & Greet in the arrivals hall included
2. Taxi
Official taxis wait outside the terminal. They charge by meter, so the fare depends on traffic. Always check the price before you set off.
3. Public transport
Airport Express (AE)
A direct bus to Prague Main Station. It runs about every 30 minutes, and you can buy a ticket from the driver.
Bus 59 + metro line A
The cheapest way. Take bus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín and continue on metro line A to the centre. With large suitcases it is not very comfortable.
